The sound of the plane is loud and I feel like a kid right in front of the windows of a big toy store, impatiently waiting to get in. When I was a kid, that was my idea of heaven. Now, while the breathtaking upper Labrador landscape slowly passes under me, out from the porthole of the plane, I am waiting with baited breath to be there. Right now, I am flying above my brand new adventure!
Mountains, rivers, lakes and fjords as far as the eye can see. The scattered clouds are painting the sky under me, projecting their shadows while they slowly cross over the Big Land. Icebergs staying so still in the water, like white beams in the deep, dark blue ocean.
I trained hard for this adventure. But the weight of my backpack, with all my equipment, is starting to worry me. Am I going to make it? From the plane, the land stretches wide and the hike we will do looks challenging. Well, I don't care right now…Now all I want is to start. My camera is ready, and so am I. I am currently looking over heaven, ready to step in to my new toy store.
